Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is a Mexican American singer-songwriter and popular actress. Her mother raised her in the USA, where she faced numerous racial slurs that left her feeling like someone who was not wanted. When she attended a 9th grade school audition, where she received high praise for her singing, she started to build confidence. This not only increased her self-confidence but also changed the direction she wanted to go in her career. In 1992 she graduated with her diploma from the New York's Julliard School. At the age of 23, her first Broadway show with Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut film, You've Got Mail were both major breakthroughs. The most notable accomplishment of her career occurred with her portrayal of The Lady Of The Lake as Spamalot's original Broadway production. She did not only get the Tony Award, but her performance was also well-received by reviewers. Later that year, as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy on ABC the show, she received more appreciation. She is also a known singer and has produced an extended show. She's also an activist who fights in the fight for LGBT rights.
